Individualized Traineeships

The Department of Radiology offers a continuing education activity for interested practicing radiologists who wish to enhance their knowledge in selected areas of radiology and to interact with our faculty in an educational clinical setting. Our Individualized Traineeship is self-study education and we offer this in several areas of radiology including body imaging, breast imaging, cardiac and pulmonary, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, and pediatric radiology.

Category 1 Continuing Medical Education credit is offered by the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. The cost is $200.00 per (8 hour) day of training.

This Individualized traineeship is “observer only”. Participants are not allowed to interact with patients. The traineeship is a minimum of 1 day up to a maximum of 1 week at a time. We can schedule more than 1 week in a period of time, as long as the weeks are not back to back. Participants must have a permanent medical license issued by the Iowa Board of Medical Examiners and be practicing radiologists. Please click here for more information.
