What are the Results?

After embolization, the fibroids degenerate and die. The symptoms resolve in 85-95% of patients. The volume of the fibroid and uterus decreases over time from 45-75% by the one year mark. The table below shows the results of some of the major published reports on symptom resolution and volume reduction after embolization.
